These are not the laments of your perplexed writer.
Instead, Nightmare scenario #2 has befallen him: Facing your significant other in the semi-finals.
It's safe to say that I'm not looking forward to the outcome of this competition. Someone is going to get hurt.

In the meantime, I'll be readying the couch and stockpiling the bomb shelter.
