I'm on TV...again!

I did another segment with The Morning Blend here at my station Fox 4 WFTX (www.Fox4now.com)...this time, I took off my Game Show Host hat and did a segment on Facebook Etiquette 101.

Check it out.  It's a pretty fun time had by all.  Here's my segment:

Good Read: TV's Dead-End Web Linking

I always get great advice from Graeme Newell on his Ideanet Newsletter, and here's another one geared specifically for web producers and reporters filing their web content. You can find this article and so much more TV marketing advice on Graeme's website, www.602communications.com

TV's Dead-End Web Linking
by Graeme Newell

How can an encyclopedia be so damned entertaining?  I am an avid user of Wikipedia but I have to be careful because looking up a simple definition can cause me to blow through a whole afternoon. Those little magical blue links take me on adventures I never planned to take.  Wikipedia is the alpha standard for web linking.  Each entry typically has dozens of links that allow the user to traipse through the world of information unfettered by form or structure.   Each journey is as individual as the interest of the user.

Southwest Florida's "Forbidden Zone": Will the surface oil stay out?

This came out a month ago, so I'm not sure if this still holds up, but I do trust Dr. Jeff Masters' weather and gulf water analysis immensely.  So, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Detroit Trip 2009

A little trip back down Memory Lane with some pics that didn't make the cut before...but I want to share now.

Fun times in what could be one of my last trips to Motown (I can't tell you how much I hope I'm wrong).

I really loved this trip, and every adventure we make up north in the summertime.  The weather was beautiful, the journey around downtown Detroit was a great time, the food in Greektown was fantastic, and I hope to be back sometime soon.

Much love to the Motor City.  I really hope to see you again.

Hay Robots: My favorite Google page background

I know a lot of folks were flipping out about the new Google page with backgrounds yesterday.  Believe me, we heard you loud and clear.

But I like them.  Plus, they turned them off, with the option to turn them back on in the bottom left corner.

Don't get me wrong...I love the simple white Google page as much as you.  But, a little color is nice every once in a while.

In any event, Here is my favorite editor picked Google image from the Background gallery.

What can I say?  I love Hay Robots.
