Orwell, Huxley, and the iPod

With the 20th anniversary of Apple's Macintosh comes a new version of the infamous "1984" commercial, that originally aired during Super Bowl XIX.

Only something's different.

Pay no attention to the appliance on the hip of the hammer-wielding woman.

It's nice to know that Apple is incorporating the power of rawk to thwart the evil Orwellian society.

Of course, Steve Jobs paints himself a nice picture with the cover of Newsweek (seen right) and the story of a nation wrought with iPods.

By the way, Pirates of Silicon Valley...a great flick.

OK, I'm done with my random babbling. Peace out.

Props to Jesse for the link.
